FAQ Basic for Confluence

This macro shows and manages the data you want to show in FAQ style.

Here you will see how it works - and how easy it is to set up your content with this macro!

General Configuration

After call the macro (/FAQ basic) you will se a screen "Configuration necessary".
Please click the pencil / Edit icon to provide

  • FAQ header title
    This is the text shown as header in blue bar on the top.
    E.g. “Windows 11 Update“

  • Width of FAQ window part [%]
    The number (in % ) of the width of this macro screen.
    E.g. “90”

After updating the page you will see the result:

Add data you want to show in “FAQ” style

Initially only the header and footer are shown.

To edit data please click on the pencil icon in the right corner. The Edit window will appear:

To add a Question & Answer text please use the “+” icon to lead you to the “Add new Element” popup:

Just add your text into the text fields and press “OK”.

Now you can continue to add more content before or after this element (press the relevant “+” icons) or you can save this editing and return to the “view mode”.

You can always switch between the folded / unfolded presentation clicking the relvant green arrows.

Manage data

To manage data please click again on the pencil icon in the right corner. The Edit window will appear again.

You will see the Edit window like above (“Edit screen with 1 element“).

Here you can:

  • Add more elments ( “+” icons)

  • Edit a specific element ( “pencil” icon)

  • Remove a specific element ( “trash” icon)

  • When you manage more than 1 entry you can also:

    • Move a specific element up ( “up arrow” icon)

    • Move a specific element down ( “down arrow” icon)

Additionally you can see in the footer of this screen the options to:

  • Remove all entries ( “trash” icon)

  • Cancel all changes and return to the view mode ( “Cancel” button)

  • Save all changes and return to the view mode ( “Save” button)
